Well, that was the 1st Avs game that I have seen this year. MAN!!! Are they fast or what? I was really surprised that the Wild hung with them in last night's 2-1 loss. That was a very entertaining game. It also helped to point out how much the Wild are not close to being a Cup contender. But I was very pleased to see them stand punch for punch with the Avs last night.
On the injury front, another RD down with Spurgeon. Haven't seen anything about his injury yet. BG has got to be puling his hair out now with this. First, Dumba, who appeared to be setting the tone for BG to get something good in a trade, has basically killed the trade market for him. Not that I am blaming Dumba for getting hurt, but that does make things extremely hard now. And then the guy you just handed a huge contract to and made Captain gets injured...and injuries seem to be creeping up on Spurgeon over the last 2-3 years. I like Spurgeon, but I have been asking for him to be traded for several years now. And now he is close to being completely non-tradeable.
I think BG has a plan for his rebuild, but injuries are throwing all sorts of monkey wrenches in the plans. At least Talbot has looked good. |
